Who is Amaan?

Amaan Khan is a software engineer at Jaguar Land Rover and a Computer Science graduate from the University of Warwick..

Amaan completed a four-year Software Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at JLR before joining as a full-time iOS Engineer. He watched firsthand how early careers programmes — the very ones designed to develop the next generation of talent — were being managed on disconnected HR systems, spreadsheets, and manual processes that were never built for the job. He didn't just spot the problem. He'd been living it for 4 years

Why is Amaan building it?

Early careers programmes are complex. Cohort management, rotation planning, performance tracking, compliance, feedback — all of it was being held together by tools that weren't designed for it. After speaking with Early Careers managers across different industries, Amaan confirmed what he already suspected: this wasn't a JLR problem. It was a market-wide gap.

The systems behind early careers programmes should reflect how important those programmes actually are. Aspire is built on that belief.

What did Amaan build?

Aspire is an all-in-one management platform built specifically for Early Careers teams. It handles everything from cohort management and rotation planning to performance tracking, participant portals, and programme reporting — replacing the spreadsheets and disconnected systems that most organisations still rely on today.

The platform covers apprenticeships, graduate schemes, internships, and industry placements. It's not adapted from a generic HR tool. It was purpose-built from scratch by someone who understood the problem from the inside.

Aspire is currently approaching its first pilot with major companies — and the conversations are already happening.

Where is Amaan taking it?

Amaan brought everything to this programme. He drove across the country to attend pitch practice and meet those in the canopy team in person — fully invested, every step of the way.

At Revolut HQ on 27th May, the panel and Simon Squibb immediately recognised the gap in the market. Amaan left the day with strong investor interest and connections that are already moving forward.

This is a founder who has been inside the problem, built the solution, and is now knocking on the right doors. Aspire is going to be one to watch.

What did Amaan say about the programme?

The UNiDAYS Accelerate programme is one of the best things that could’ve happened for Aspire. The structure, mentorship and guidance was second to none and provided us everything we needed to make Aspire successful.
